Caregiver FAQ:

  • How long will my appointment last?

    Appointments typically last between 15 minutes to an hour, depending on whether or not you complete the required online modules before your appointment. Training with patient lifts (Hoyers) typically require longer hands-on time.

  • Will this cost me anything?

    If you are a caregiver who works for an agency with a membership or pre-purchased training sessions, your training has already been paid for. Simply put in the agency discount code when checking out (see below for an example) or schedule through your agency training page. Individual professional caregivers and family caregivers may purchase training sessions.

  • Can I take the online modules at the training center?

    Yes! We have computers available for caregivers who need to complete their online training during the scheduled appointment time. Please make sure to allow at least one hour for your appointment if you plan to complete online modules at the training center. For those taking lift training, please allow 90 minutes for your appointment, if you plan to take online modules at the training center.

  • Can I take my online modules before my appointment to save time?

    Yes! You can take your online modules at any time before your appointment from your personal device (including smart phones).

  • What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?

    If you need to change or cancel your appointment, you can do so using the link in your appointment confirmation. You can also give us a call at 469-998-1245 or e-mail [email protected] Please provide as much advanced notice as possible.

  • How long will I have to complete my online course and hands-on check off?

    After you enroll in the course, you'll have 30 days to access the online training and complete your hands-on check off. However, your employer may have their own time requirements. Make sure to ask your employer how long you have to get your training done.

  • Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes! Your employer will automatically receive a certificate of completion when you complete the hands-on check off.

  • Can I bring my child?

    We know that child care is a BIG issue. That's why our training center has a "kid corner." We've got books, coloring, and movies to keep kids occupied while you train. Because space is limited and we want to ensure the safety of all, please let us know if you need to bring more than 1 child.

  • Do I have to be a member to use this service?

    No, but being a member provides the greatest value. Members receive enrollment in our entire course library for up to 100 caregivers, onboarding courses that can include hands-on training, digital badges for marketing, admin access to document training, and more. Non-members are encouraged to pre-purchase packages of training sessions for discounted rates.

  • How do I sign a caregiver up for hands-on training (member)?

    Member agency caregivers can be automatically prompted to schedule their own hands-on training during their onboarding course. Caregivers will be able to schedule additional types of hands-on training through your customized agency training page.

  • How do I sign a caregiver up for hands-on training (non-member with pre-purchased bundle)?

    Non-members with pre-purchased packages can share their agency codes with caregivers to allow caregivers to enroll and schedule training directly. Please tell your caregiver which hands-on training you'd like them to take.

  • How do I sign a caregiver up for hands-on training (non-member, one-off training)?

    Non-member agencies who want to purchase a one-off training can simply click on any of the desired topics above to get started. IMPORTANT: Administrators should coordinate with their caregiver during purchase to ensure correct scheduling and communication. E-mail address and name used for enrollment and scheduling should belong to the caregiver to ensure correct communication and certificate of completion.
